10th of August 1953, a ceiling fan rotates awkwardly, slowly moving the stale warm air of L.A. around an ill lit office. A lonely detective sits on a rickety chair, feet on his desk, reading a police report. In the room, a couple of filing cabinets, a coat rack with a trench coat and a fedora hat, a bottle of bourbon and an ashtray too full of cigarette butts. “Someone needs to get to the bottom of this crime because it sure as hell won’t solve itself”.
Vicious City is a Film Noir narration card game in which each player has to convict one of the suspects whilst ensuring that the suspect they know is not guilty, is absolved, and uncover the correct conspiracy theory.
The key feature of the game is that at every action, each player gives a short statement that links their action to the central crime of the game. Players can make their story as long or short as they desire.
In the end all the stories will intertwine to form a Film Noir masterpiece.
